It has 3 speeds and a self-tapping mode that helps to prevent overdriving, breaking, or stripping screws by stopping the tool once the screws have been fully seated. This impact driver is 25% more compact and 30% lighter than the previous model but still packs a powerful punch. Pair this impact with MAX Output batteries for best results, the impact is compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries (all batteries sold separately).
